A REMOTE CABIN AND A SKETCHBOOK

I spent Easter Holiday in a cabin off-grid and the only art supplies I brought with me were my Sketchbooks and markers. Before I went into the mountains I watched a Domestika Class by Paulina Oshu, she makes wonderful patterns with Posca Pens, and it was the perfect inspiration to bring with me, as I put my art supplies in my backpack and strapped on my skis to walk into the cabin.

My daughter Andrea is just as passionate as I am about all things creative, so she joined me in every drawing session.
My two boys are creative in other ways, and all of them played for hours outside making snowmen/woman, caves and castles.

Back to the Sketchbook and Posca Markers… I had a lot of fun experimenting with patters in my little Sketchbook, and now that I’m back in the city and in front of the computer, I have decided to commit to at least five new patterns per week in my Sketchbook. I think it’s important to remove myself from being digital, and to make more mistakes and play a little more. I almost feel like a kid again.
