WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

It’s my birthday and I’m celebrating by writing my very first blog post!

In this blog I will write about my creative life and other activities that inspires me. I will share designs that make me happy and give tips on things you can do to add little happy moments in your daily life.

As a little introduction to my life, and my past year I want to share ten things that I’m grateful for, and a few things that have been challenging.

One of my favorite places to be; a remote cabin in the mountains, no running water, no electricity, no distractions. A time to calm down and share sweet moments with the people I love

10 THINGS I’M GRATEFUL FOR…

  1. Learning that self-help books actually helps

  2. Continuing to develop as an illustrator and designer

  3. Living where I am and the nature that surrounds me

  4. Drawing with my kids

  5. New fun client projects

  6. Learning new skills within seamless pattern design, and The Art Licensing industry

  7. Getting to know me better and to gain confidence

  8. My daily yoga routine

  9. Great mountain trips with family and friends

  10. The freedom to create something new every day

A few things that I could have been without..

  1. A rental agreement for a studio that can’t be used for the purposes I intended, with a contract I can’t get out of

  2. An injured knee that keeps getting in the way for what I want to do

  3. Imposter Syndrome

I’m doing yoga everyday, finding what feels good, not searching for perfection in the poses (or outfit).

To sum it up, I’m very happy about where I am and the journey I’m on. I feel lucky and I’m grateful. For the challenges I’m facing I will search for solutions, and not let them interfere with the goals I have set.

To finish it up, here are some of the art I’ve made the past year

Thank you so much for reading!

:) Helen
